Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026
This policy applies to all services purchased from Lova.
Productized Offers (Tiers 1–3)
Before work begins
Full refund of deposit, less a $50 administrative fee, if cancellation request is received within 48 hours of order and before the kickoff call.
After kickoff but before design approval
Refund of unused portion of deposit, calculated as deposit minus hours worked at $125/hour, minus a $100 administrative fee.
After design approval
No refund of paid amounts. Project may be paused or terminated; any work completed is delivered to Client.
After launch
No refund of fees paid. Bug fixes within the post-launch period are included; redesign or rework is billable.
T4 Finish What They Started, T5 Mobile App, and Custom Builds
Refunds for T4 Finish What They Started, T5 Mobile App, and Custom Builds are governed by the milestone payment structure. Milestone payments are non-refundable once the corresponding milestone has been completed and accepted by Client. If Client cancels mid-milestone, Lova refunds the unused portion of that milestone payment, calculated as the milestone amount minus a pro-rata assessment of the work completed to date.
For T4 Finish What They Started specifically: the 4-hour audit is non-refundable once delivered. The remaining 40-hour execution budget is refundable on a pro-rata basis for work not yet performed if Client cancels before the engagement completes.
Maintenance Plans
Monthly billing
- Cancel anytime — your account reflects the change within 3 business days
- No refunds for partial months already paid
- Client retains all data, code, and ownership upon cancellation
Annual prepay (auto-renewing)
Annual maintenance plans renew automatically on each anniversary of the start date until cancelled. We email a renewal reminder to the billing contact at least thirty (30) days before each renewal.
- Cancel before the renewal date: the plan ends at term-end with no further charge.
- Cancel after auto-renewal but within the new term: pro-rata refund of unused whole months remaining, less a $50 processing fee. The 15% annual discount is forfeited; refund is calculated as if you had paid monthly.
- Material breach by Lova: if Lova materially breaches this Agreement and fails to cure within thirty (30) days of written notice, you receive a full pro-rata refund with no processing fee and no forfeiture of the discount.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed in US Dollars (USD) within ten (10) business days to the original payment method. We do not issue refunds by check, store credit, or wire unless the original payment cannot be reversed; in that case we will contact you to arrange an alternative method.
If a refund is issued mid-milestone, Lova retains all rights to incomplete work product and you receive no license to use unfinished deliverables. Work product corresponding to milestones already paid and accepted remains yours.
Disputes
If you believe a refund is owed beyond this policy, submit a written dispute to [email protected] within thirty (30) days of the relevant transaction. We will respond within ten (10) business days and work in good faith to resolve. This is a mandatory pre-chargeback process: you must complete (or attempt in good faith to complete) the Disputes process before initiating a credit-card chargeback.
Chargebacks
Initiating a credit-card chargeback before completing the Disputes process above is a material breach of this Agreement. In that event, Lova may, at its option:
- Immediately suspend all work, deliverables, and access to the client portal until the chargeback is resolved;
- Revoke any license to use Lova-produced work product until the disputed amounts are paid in full or the chargeback is resolved in Lova's favor;
- Pursue collection of the disputed amounts, plus chargeback costs of $25 per incident and reasonable attorney fees.
If the chargeback is ultimately resolved in Lova's favor (or withdrawn), all suspended licenses are restored retroactively. Nothing in this section limits cardholder rights granted by Stripe's own dispute process or by federal credit-card law (e.g., 15 U.S.C. §1666); this section governs the contractual relationship between you and Lova only.
Statutory Rights
This policy is in addition to, and not in lieu of, any non-waivable cancellation or refund rights you have under Texas or federal law.
